 Hi everyone! Today I have decided to start a blog OOOOO! I’ve been thinking about it for a while but I realized life is short and I don’t have shit else to do so I will be doing music reviews! I’ve always loved music and I always have a lot to say so I thought it would be fun for me! I hope you all will tap in and see what I have to say. Review: Wham - Make it Big

  Today’s Review and also first review shall be as the title states, Wham, Make it Big! This album was released in 1984, Oct 22nd for the UK, and Nov 5th here in the states. It is the group’s Sophomore album and was a MAJOR commercial success going #1 in both the US and UK. It was so well received, Wham became the first western pop group to perform in China. Let’s see if the album has stood the test of time! The album is fairly short coming in at 38 minutes with 8 songs. Let’s break these songs down one by one. Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go : Right off the bat this is possibly Wham’s third most well known song. It’s almost funny, like damn already? A lot of people misremember the name of this song and simply call it “jitterbug” as that is the opening line of the song. The song is cute, uses a lot of onomatopoeia’s like “bang bang” and “boom boom” giving it a lighthearted feel. This song is very responsible for Wham’s “teen” image which wasn’t really shaken off until George went solo....

Review: Beyoncé - Bday

  I’m actually very excited to review this album! I would say this is one of the most essential albums to understand me as a person. I was 9 when this album released, I have such a fond memory of my sister’s and I piling into my mother’s room to watch TRL world premier. It quite literally changed my life. This was her sophomore album released August 31st 2006 funny enough. Honestly, when you look this up it has like 4 release dates but, lets just say it released on her birthday September 4th 2006. B’Day is known as a fan favorite and a lot of people always keep this in their top 3, BUT back in 2006 this was a little more polarizing. With the album being recorded in 2 weeks and back to back schedules from the recording of the final Destiny’s Child album and Dreamgirls, a lot of fans felt it was rushed and sloppy.
